Okay, so , Momma has been a wee bit slack on the updates....sorry.
The remainder of our vacation went well, Jordan's ankle healed progressively and we received the definitive "all clear" from his orthopedic surgeon upon our return to Vegas!!!
The last few days at Oceanside were spent chilling ,gearing up for our visit to Anaheim. A fierce game of Monopoly was finished up ,complemented with several rounds of Boggle..... new game for me but quite fun. Dad and Tara added some terrific finds to our seashore collection of shells and Jordan even kept current with his Kumon math studies.....
Saturday morning we headed out to Disneyland, both kids very excited but even more so when they learned we were to stay at one of the Disney hotels!!!! Inis at front desk was super accomodating and landed us a room with a view for Colors of the World and a private access to watch the fireworks show over Disney....
We were able to grab some fast passes for Cars Racers ride...which to our delight , Jordan thought was AWESOME. He braved the Ferris Wheel with me (swinging car - both of managed to not throw up LOL) while Tara and Dad took on the Roller Coaster.
California Soarin' was still a favorite and over in Disney park we conquered Thunder Mountain. Again , a little concerned how the noise/ speed would be tolerated by Jordan but he did great!! Of course, we rode all the standards of Pirates, Haunted House, Small World and all the Fantasyland rides.
A fun filled way to complete our vacation and day 10 saw all ready to head home and pick up our sweet Shasta.
Back to "reality" and Jordan is continuing his Kumon studies as well as adding in some English review and reading to gear him up for Grade 7 in a few weeks.
Tara ,too, has now joined in with math, english and reading exercises to keep the boredom at bay.
Add in gymnastic classes (Thanks Miss Stacey) and several more art classes with Miss Holly ( much appreciated) and that shall fill up the remaining days.
I shall try and stay on top of updates for those still checking in and continued Thanks for all the words of Encouragement through the months....
