Since last entry we have had some pretty cool updates with Jordan's behavior. Here we go.....
Last Thursday ,while coming out of the hyperbaric chamber, there is a "pop" as he re-equalizes. Up til recently it always made Jordan jump. The technician mentioned how it no longer has that effect and sure enough , as I watched intently, there was no reaction on said "pop". A glimpse of consistency......
Friday, when I picked Jordan up from school he presented me with an "A Roll Honor Student" certificate for his 3rd quarter. Quite pleased with himself , he was, as were John , myself and Tara!!!
Saturday ,Jordan, Tara and I took Shasta for a short walk around the neighborhood. Not quite a mile.... . Jordan's longest walk yet - during which, several dogs barked rather frantically as we passed, to which Jordan replied ( sans ear plugs and ,again, no auditory distress) " Poor them" and continued enjoying the stroll.
Yesterday ( Monday 20th), we had our 6 week follow up with Dr. Camp ( orthopedic surgeon) to see how Jordan is progressing with the newer brace. Good news.... Dr. is extremely pleased with the range of motion in Jordan's ankle and did a limb length test which confirmed both his legs are equal and have not been affected by previous hip hike and spinal rotation.. He wants to see us in 6 more months and said we can leave the brace off for several additional hours a day!! Yah!!!
Lastly, later in the afternoon, Jordan attended a pizza party for the school choir/band. There were approximately 200 students present and , although he had earplugs in for this, he participated wholeheartedly (largest crowd yet) and even smooshed a cream pie in his teachers face for his qualifying donation!!!
Yep... GREAT week!!
