A couple days since we arrived home from Phoenix and still recouping.
Day two was even longer than day one...Jordan's testing began at 8:30 and ran through to 12:15....... Jordan in the office with Dr Blackham and myself in the waiting room completing a multitude of questions concerning Jordan's behavior over the past 6 months, encompassing everything from " does he eat too much or too little" to "does he brush his own teeth"
& " does he read the menu in a restaurant?"
A brief ( 19 minutes) lunch break - there was confusion with what time the second Doctor could see us- and we were in back again for a physical evaluation to determine what steps should be taken to try and correct Jordan ' s posture, gait and balance. The outcome of which is to take Jordan back for a second round of Botox , apply for a new, more pliable brace to be worn for a longer duration each day and to add a lift to his right shoe in the interim to help balance his hip alignment.
A quick visit with Jordan's PT , Nushka, after we were all done and it was off to the airport to fly home... There was a slight delay in departure but the pilot made it up in the air and we landed about 6 pm.
And ... Breathe....,
It felt good to be home and although it had only been 2 days I felt as though we had been gone for 4 or 5....
Glad it is Friday and Jordan can afford a little down time over the weekend but there is still some studying to be fit in as midterm exams are coming up the second half of this next week . Missing two days of school puts Jordan at a slight disadvantage but his teachers have all been most helpful to keep him caught up so he can do his best.
It' ll take a couple of weeks before the full results are available from the neuro psyche tests, and we hope to receive authorization from insurance for the Botox treatment within the next 2-3 ,so now we wait. Join us, won't you ?!?..,,
