Okay , so I cheated a little & copy/ pasted John's Facebook post in case some of you still only access this blog but now I have a school update to share.
Four weeks in & a first progress report on how the students are faring . I am so excited, proud & happy to share with you all that Jordan came home with an A/B report!!!! . I know it is only the 3 subjects right now but this is definitely a big step in the right direction for his recovery. It makes us optimistic we will be able to add a little more to Jordans curriculum in the not too distant future.
Therapy continues to bring about small victories - like Jordan manipulating a piece of construction paper while cutting out a shape drawn on it or coordinating swinging himself with only the strength of his left arm while keeping squared off to the front.
This morning we experienced something new... Sunday is the one day we don't actively wake Jordan. It is his day to sleep in & basically chill out. His normal time to wake up has been anywhere from 10- 10:45. Today , however, as John , Tara & myself were in the midst of our own morning rituals, out wandered Jordan ..... Wait for it ..... At 8:30!!!! WHAT??!!?!?! We don't know if the treatments we've started in the hyperbaric chamber had something to do with this but again we are hopeful that our gut instinct is going to prove helpful to Jordan, we shall definitely be monitoring him closely for any changes in energy , alertness etc.
