Week 2 of the new schedule - (9-1pm)- correction from last week & so far all is still well. Homework is being handled - we still have to work on Jordan's pacing so It's not an all evening event but one step at a time.
Lunches have been fun . Thanks to Joseph Williams & Carly King this past week .. ... Jordan looks forward to hanging with more of his friends as we go along.
Therapy this week continued at its steady pace,Dr Lok ( acupuncturist) is pleased with the " release " of Jordans hamstring & calf muscle.... Still tight but not feeling quite so rope- like anymore. Yesterday he began working on Jordan's lower back to try & release the muscle that is hiking Jordans hip. This hike has had a chain reaction up his spine and caused his shoulder girdle to rotate. In hindsight , John & I feel it is the leg brace causing this so we are doing our own trial & having Jordan go without for a period of time to see if a change occurs...
We are also looking into a varied style , more to stretch only, for shorter periods of time throughout the day rather than be worn the whole time. Hopefully , we shall come across the " thing" that will work for Jordan . Getting Dorsi flexion back in his ankle joint would solve a large part of his issues.
For the second week in a row Jordan surprised us by walking out at 9 am without any prompting by us. This is even more thrilling as he went to bed later last evening , at 9pm!!!! We really hope this is the beginning of a pattern which will make its way into week days as well, making waking up for school less daunting.
Will finish up & get him ready for bed , it's that time already . Gosh the weekends go by fast ... Can't believe it's only 2 weeks til Halloween - now THAT'S scary!! 🎃🎃
