Another jam packed week of school , homework , therapies and a little R&R..,
We r heading into the third week of the new brace . This time, instead of being worn continually throughout the day , we put in on for 30 minute periods 3 times a day . The idea being a slow fixed stretch to hold the muscle in the elongated position to allow it to release and maintain gradually over time, thus regaining full
Range of motion & correct gait.
Jordan started with yet another form of therapy this week, massage...... it has been on the TO-DO list for a while but carving out the time took a bit of working. He responded well and we have several more appointments set up. Again the goal is to release the severe contractions in his muscles on the left side of his body to help improve walking gait . If we can get that under control we can progress to jogging . Running , jumping & so on!
An extra hyperbaric treatment squeezed in this morning was welcomed by Jordan and even had him out of bed at 7:30 on a Sunday morning - usually his one day to sleep in!!! He " likey" 😊😊😊
This afternoon I took him to Gymcats intrasquad , where he cheered on his fellow gym-mates. Thanks Cassie & Coaches Jon & Pej for allowing us to get "up close and personal" . The Team is looking fierce and we are looking into starting Jordan back to private sessions in the New Year just to get him Back around that strong positive energy.
If we could somehow organize to have a few more hours in each day , it would make things so much easier!?!?
Jordan also spent a little sibling time, with Tara, making some Christmas crafts... Therapy hidden behind fun - BONUS!
Christmas preparations are in full swing and with days counting down rapidly, there is no time to be wasted. Must be off and tend to one or two of above mentioned preps. ...,.
..,,, catch you same time next week . ☺️
Jordan & Tara hard at play making Christmas Penguins!!
